Caddo Magnet High School’s New Tennis Courts Caddo Magnet High School has finally refurbished our school’s tennis courts! Due to hard work through fundraising and many gracious sponsors, the tennis court renovations were finally able to take place. The courts were originally refurbished during Spring of 2017, so they will be put to use for the current tennis team practice and upcoming season. The grand opening of the tennis courts took place on Monday, October 30th, from 4:15 p.m.-5:15 p.m..
Many important and much needed renovations took place during the Spring of 2017 and were added to our school’s tennis courts. One of those things is the surface of the tennis courts themselves. All the cracks on the previous courts were fixed, making the tennis courts much more playable. The tennis courts also got a brand new paint job. They now have a little more of a nontraditional color scheme that makes the courts look both beautiful and unique. The tennis wall that players could hit off of have also been vamped up. Not only was the wall improved by itself, but there is now a second wall that is located on the other side of the fence. This allows more people to hit off of the wall as well as making the locations much more convenient.
Another huge major detail of the new courts is the new fencing. Many things have changed compared to the old fences. The fences now cover the entirety of the courts, preventing tennis balls from rolling out of the fencing. There are also lockable gates all along the fencing. Not only does it make maneuvering around the courts more convenient, but it also prevents people from loitering while the courts aren’t in use.
